1. Object

▣ It aims to make a plan for Fall 2021 based on the guidelines-‘expanding face-to-face classes step by step’ of Ministry of Education

    and to give information about the Fall 2021 plans in advance to KMU community members.

▣ Considering the health and safety, face-to-face classes will be expanded when 70 percent of the population are vaccinated with one doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Plans for Fall 2021 can be changed, depending on the COVID-19 situation.

 

2. Plans

From 1st week to 8th week (including mid-term exam period) [before one vaccine dose not completed]

        ※ Face-to-face classes can be opened under the permission of the KMU COVID-19 Emergency Planning Committee.  

           The classes which don’t fulfill the conditions for offline classes can be switched to online.

 

3) Midterm Exam

   - Face-to-face midterm is only for the pre-approved offline classes under the permission of the KMU COVID-19 Emergency Planning Committee.

         ※ For offline midterm exams, Must comply with the guidelines of face-to-face classes.

       - For online classes, midterm exam is also conducted online.

 

From 9th week to 16th week (including final exam period) [After one vaccine dose completed]

   The Plans can be changed, depending on the COVID-19 situation. KMU will update plans in October.

3) Final Exam : face-to-face in principle (possible to take online)

   - For offline final exams, Must comply with the guidelines of face-to-face classes.

 

3. Principles

 All classes will be evaluated on an absolute grading scale. (except for classes evaluated with Pass/Non-Pass scale).

 

 Online classes : Classes will be conducted online live lectures, with recorded lectures, and in 2 mixed forms.

 

 Face-to-face classes

    1) Instructors and students must follow the guidelines such as keeping the social distance, wearing masks

       and also must secure a classroom capacity to meet the criteria such as maximum number of participating students and the density

       compared to the number of students in the classroom.

       - If the number of students exceeds the standard, the instructor needs to change a classroom to bigger or needs to secure additional classrooms.

    2) Providing online classes simultaneously and Prohibiting reverse discrimination against those who do not attend offline classes

        ※ Instructors provide online classes for those who can’t attend the offline classes due to their status staying overseas or in local area, in quarantine, and etc.

        ※ The guidelines for ‘face-to-face classes in principle’ after 9th week will be updated again in October.

    3) Following the guidelines on COVID-19 prevention

        - Taking temperature at front and back gates of school, equipping hand sanitizers in each classroom, wearing masks, replacing microphone covers,

          refreshing the air frequently in classrooms, following the guidelines when using some equipment required air circulation like air conditioner  

        - Not allowed to attend offline classes for those who have any symptoms of COVID-19(fever, respiratory symptoms, etc.)

        - Mandatory for those who have any symptoms of COVID-19 to report in advance to their instructor by K*TALK, E-mail, etc. and to be in quarantine

        - No disadvantage in attendance for those who can’t attend offline classes due to any symptoms of COVID-19

    4) Each department operates offline classes under their own plan for COVID-19 prevention

        - Instructors shall maintain the rules by keeping social distance between students, wearing masks, assigning seats, etc. as a person who in charge of prevention.

    5) Indoor sports facilities(judo gym, gyms, etc.), other facilities(computer rooms, etc.), outdoor sports facilities(playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc.)

       are open only for offline classes.

 

 ▣ The notice about not attending classes caused by receiving COVID-19 vaccinations will be updated in August.
