1. Object

  ▣ KMU plans to expand face-to-face classes after 11th week of the semester

        as the government will implement “the recovery plan to the nomral (With COVID-19)” as of November,

        and the Ministry of Education has requested to expand face-to-face activities at universities.

  ▣ To prevent students’ learning, social, and emotional deficits,

        face-to-face classes will be allowed for classes from major and classes required with experiments and practical training.

     ※ It may be readjusted according to the COVID-19 situation and change on plan of the Ministry of Education.

 

2. Plan (After 11th week of the semester)

     ※ Classes that are not approved for face-to-face must be conducted online.

 

3. Principles

  ▣ Online classes will be conducted with online live lectures or with recorded lectures, and in two mixed forms.

     ※ Notes for online lectures

     - The attendance will be counted when the video lecture is played,

           and the attendance standards will be applied same as the face-to-face classes.

     - Simultaneous playback of video lectures will be considered as double attendance,

           and attendance management of classes that grants credits is strictly managed, so simultaneous playback is not possible.

 

  ▣ Face-to-face classes

    1) Instructors and students must follow the guidelines such as keeping social distancing, wearing masks and also must secure  a classroom capacity to meet the criteria such as maximum number of participating students and the density compared to the number of students in the classroom.

       ※ If the number of students exceeds the standard, the instructor needs to change a classroom to bigger or needs to secure additional classrooms.

 

    2) Providing online classes simultaneously and prohibiting discrimination against those who do not attend offline classes

       ※ Instructors provide online classes for those who cannot attend the offline classes due to their status staying overseas, in local areas, or in quarantine, and etc.

 

    3) Following the guidelines on COVID-19 prevention

       - Taking temperatures at front and back gates of school, equipping hand sanitizers in each classroom, wearing masks,

               replacing microphone covers, refreshing the air frequently in classrooms, and following the quidelines when using some

               equipments which require air circulation such as air conditioner.

       - Not allowed to attend offline classes for those who have any symptoms of COVID-19 (Fever, Respiratory symptoms, etc.)

       - Mandatory for those who have any symptoms of COVID-19 to report in advance to their instructor by K·TALK, E-mail,etc,

               and to be in quarantine immediately.

       - No disadvantage in attendance for those who cannot attend offline classes due to any symptoms of COVID-19.

 

    4) Each department operates offline classes under their own plan for COVID-19 prevention :

       Instructors should maintain the rules by keeping social distance between students, wearing masks, assigning seats, etc.

           as a person who is in charge of prevention.

 

    5) Indoor sports facilities (judo gym, gyms, etc.), outdoor sports facilities (playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc.) are

            open for offline classes only.
